The Seed – concept homes
So I decided maybe concept modeling was more my speed. Tonight, I began to create what may be the homes the settlers will live in. Each dome will be modular and depending on how much money you had on the start of your trip will depend on how big a home you can buy. This would be an example of a fancier home. This week I will try out some different styles and hopefully come up with a good mix of designs.

One model may have a retractable roof with an observatory. Here it is retracted

And here it is closed.

This is an example of how the homes might be laid out. A group of 8 with a central water/sewage system.
The Seed – concept sketches
Let me preface this post with…”I am a shitty drawer, or drawing artist, pretty much the opposite of a REAL artist” Which will be readily apparent in the sketches below. In fact, up until a few years ago, I thought you spelled it “Scetch”…yeah, exactly. That said, I did manage to whip up a decent looking cyborg, or at least the robotic portion of him on my trusty ol grid paper. The rest of these sketches were done with my wacom tablet.
The Seed takes place in space on one of the first “modern” era space colonies. So the idea is to create massive bio-dome like structures that contain the settlers of said space colony. The plan is to make the settlers homes inside the dome structures to be designed as energy efficient as possible while at the same time try to make them as visually interesting as possible. But hey, as I said this is a ‘modern’ corporate settlement where individuality is not discouraged therefore giving us some creative freedoms in designing the architecture. In any case, this is where I am at with the artwork. While Jeremy continues to iron out parts of the story.
I have released our latest short film called “Fate of the Union” - Enjoy ![]()
